Dr. Kelly is a medical practitioner who is a vocationally registered GP with intensive care and medical evacuation skills. She currently works as an Intensive Care SMO and medical student clinical educator at the Mater Private Hospital in Townsville where she has worked as a registrar for 20 years.
In 2008-2010 she worked for International SOS as a site medical officer in Yuzhno clinic, Sakhalin, a remote island site, in the far east of Russia. The work involved general practice, emergency care and aoromedical evacuations for the oil and gas company workers and their families. She has also done short term locums as a ship’s doctor on ecotours, utilizing her combined skills in general practice and acute care medicine. Dr Kelly has a Bachelors degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Queensland, a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, a Diploma in Obstetrics from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and a Certificate in Aeromedical Retrieval from James Cook University. |
